The "AlexFisherWay" course is a step-by-step plan for employment on crab fishing vessels and in fish processing factories in Norway. We provide you with all the tools and knowledge you need to successfully secure a job, advice on adaptation and medical examinations, including contacts with employers not only in Norway but also in Ireland, Denmark, and England, as Norway is too narrow a niche and there may not be enough vessels for everyone.

The course is aimed at EU citizens or holders of a permit/residence permit in the EU and those who have a work permit in Norway, Ireland, Denmark, or England. If you meet these criteria, the course will help you secure a job in the fishing fleet.

To be employed in the fishing fleet, you must pass a medical examination to obtain a Norwegian maritime certificate. We will explain in detail how to navigate this process and what documents are required to obtain it.

To obtain a medical certificate, you must be examined by an accredited doctor who will perform the necessary tests and checks. In our course, we present all the steps to help you successfully pass the medical certification.

Experience working on fishing vessels is encouraged but not mandatory.
